The BeeKeepPal mobile app works fully offline. If there is no signal at your apiary, keep recording inspections, treatments and tasks as normal. Everything syncs automatically once you’re back online.
Before you go out
Open the app once while you have a connection. This downloads your apiaries, beehives and inspection forms to your phone.
What works offline
- Recording inspections, including custom forms
- Recording treatments and tasks
- Adding and editing beehives, queens and components
- Viewing records already on your phone
What needs a connection
- AI Hive Scan, Voice Inspections and Scan a Paper Form need to reach our servers to analyse your photo or recording. If you are offline, take the photo or recording now and it will be processed when you reconnect.
- Threat Tracker, Apiary Reports and CheckInspect weather forecasts show the latest data only when online.
How syncing works
When your phone reconnects, changes upload in the background and appear in the web app. You do not need to press anything. If the same record was changed on two devices, the most recent change is kept.
If something hasn’t synced
- Check that your phone has a connection.
- Keep the app open for a minute to let it finish.
- If records are still missing, submit a ticket and do not uninstall the app, as unsynced records are stored on your phone.
