1. Program overview
Affiliates earn a 10% commission on every paid BeeKeepPal annual plan purchased through their referral link. The program rewards beekeeping educators, clubs, content creators and suppliers who introduce new beekeepers to BeeKeepPal (www.beekeeppal.com).

By joining the program, the affiliate agrees to this policy and to BeeKeepPal’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and enrollment
Anyone 18 or older with an audience relevant to beekeeping, gardening, homesteading or agriculture may apply. BeeKeepPal reviews every application and may approve or decline it at its discretion.
- Applicants must provide accurate contact, website or social profile, and payout details.
- One affiliate account per person or organization.
- Beekeeping associations and clubs may join as a single organizational affiliate.
- Existing BeeKeepPal customers may join; commissions on their own purchases are not paid (see Section 3).
- BeeKeepPal staff and contractors are not eligible.
Approved affiliates receive a unique referral link and access to the affiliate dashboard, where clicks, sign-ups, commissions and payouts are shown.
3. Commission structure
Affiliates earn 10% of the net price the referred customer actually pays for their first annual plan. Net price means after discounts, coupons, promotions (including seasonal sales such as Black Friday), taxes and payment-processor fees.
Worked example: a customer buys an annual plan listed at US$100 during a 30%-off sale and pays US$70. The affiliate earns US$7.00.
A sale qualifies only when all of these are true:
- The customer is new to BeeKeepPal paid plans.
- The customer arrived through the affiliate’s link within the cookie window.
- The customer completed payment for an annual plan.
- The payment was not refunded, charged back or found fraudulent during the hold period.
No commission is paid on:
- Free plans or monthly plans, including monthly plans later switched to annual.
- Renewals of an annual plan.
- The affiliate’s own purchases or purchases by their household or organization.
- Sales from coupon codes not issued to the affiliate.
Upgrades from the free plan directly to an annual plan count as new sales. BeeKeepPal may offer temporary bonus rates; those terms are announced in writing and apply only for the stated period.
4. Tracking and attribution
Referrals are tracked by a cookie set when a visitor clicks the affiliate’s link, valid for 60 days. If the visitor buys an annual plan within that window, the sale is credited to the affiliate.
- Last click wins. If a visitor clicks links from two affiliates, the most recent click gets the credit.
- Affiliate coupon codes override cookies: a sale using an affiliate’s personal code is credited to that affiliate.
- Sales are not credited if the visitor clears cookies, uses a different device or browser, or blocks tracking before purchasing.
- BeeKeepPal’s tracking records are final in any attribution dispute. Affiliates may raise a dispute within 30 days of the sale by emailing the affiliate team.
5. Payouts, refunds and chargebacks
Commissions are paid monthly in US dollars once they clear a 30-day hold and the affiliate’s approved balance reaches US$50. The hold matches the customer refund window.
- Timing: commissions approved in a calendar month are paid by the 15th of the following month.
- Method: PayPal or bank transfer. The affiliate covers any transfer, currency-conversion or bank fees.
- Below minimum: balances under US$50 roll over to the next month.
- Refunds and chargebacks: a commission is reversed if the customer is refunded or charges back. If the commission was already paid, the amount is deducted from future earnings.
- Taxes: affiliates are independent contractors responsible for their own taxes. BeeKeepPal may request tax forms (for example a W-9 or W-8BEN for US reporting) before paying.
- Inactive accounts: balances unclaimed for 12 months after termination, or with no valid payout details, are forfeited.
6. Promotion guidelines
Affiliates must promote BeeKeepPal honestly and disclose the affiliate relationship every time they share a referral link.
Required disclosure. Place a clear statement near the link, before the reader clicks, such as: “I earn a commission if you buy a BeeKeepPal annual plan through my link.” On video, say it aloud and show it on screen. Use the platform’s paid-partnership label where one exists (for example on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube).
Allowed:
- Reviews, tutorials and hive-inspection walkthroughs using BeeKeepPal.
- Posts in blogs, newsletters, social media, podcasts and video channels.
- Sharing the link with club or association members, with the club’s permission.
- Using approved logos and screenshots from the affiliate media kit.
Prohibited:
- False or exaggerated claims, including claims that the AI disease scanner replaces a qualified bee inspector or guarantees a diagnosis.
- Spam: unsolicited email, mass DMs, or link-dropping in forums or groups that forbid promotion.
- Bidding on “BeeKeepPal” or its misspellings in paid search ads, or using them in domains or social handles.
- Pretending to be BeeKeepPal or its support team.
- Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, incentivized clicks, or hidden links.
- Offering cash back or rebates from your commission without written approval.
- Posting unapproved discount codes on coupon or deal sites.
- Placing links on sites with adult, hateful, violent, illegal or pirated content.
7. Brand use, termination and legal terms
Brand use. BeeKeepPal grants affiliates a limited, revocable licence to use its name, logo and media-kit assets only to promote BeeKeepPal under this policy. Assets may not be altered, and the licence ends when the affiliate leaves the program.
Termination. Either party may end participation at any time with written notice. BeeKeepPal may suspend or terminate an account immediately for any breach of this policy. On termination for a breach, all unpaid commissions are forfeited. On termination without a breach, approved commissions are paid on the normal schedule.
Fraud. Commissions from fraudulent or self-referred sales are void. BeeKeepPal may withhold payment while it investigates suspicious activity.
Relationship. Affiliates are independent contractors, not employees, agents or partners of BeeKeepPal, and may not make commitments on its behalf.
Changes. BeeKeepPal may update this policy, including the commission rate, with 30 days’ email notice. Continued participation after that date means acceptance. Commissions already earned are paid at the rate in force when the sale was made.
Liability. BeeKeepPal is not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, and its total liability is limited to commissions earned in the 12 months before the claim. Affiliates indemnify BeeKeepPal against claims arising from their promotional content.
