We provide services to you subject to the notices, terms, and conditions set forth in this agreement. You will obey the rules, guidelines, policies, terms, and conditions applicable to such services before you use them. We reserve the right to change this site and these terms and conditions at any time.

Before proceeding, please read this agreement because accessing, browsing, or otherwise using BeeKeepPal, including our website, web dashboard and mobile apps (“the Site”) indicates your agreement to all the terms and conditions in this agreement.

By accepting these Terms of Use through your use of the Site, you certify that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years old, please use this Site only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Subject to the terms and conditions of this agreement, BeeKeepPal hereby grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to access and use the Site through your Internet browser or our mobile apps only for your own beekeeping and e-commerce purposes and not for use on behalf of any third party, except as explicitly permitted by BeeKeepPal in advance. Any violation of this agreement shall result in the immediate revocation of the license granted in this paragraph without notice to you.

BeeKeepPal may give you an account identification and password to enable you to access and use certain portions of this Site. Each time you use a password or identification, you are deemed to be authorized to access and use the Site in a manner consistent with the terms and conditions of this agreement, and BeeKeepPal has no obligation to investigate the source of any such access or use of the Site.

The use of the Site is governed by the Privacy Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy.

BeeKeepPal reserves the right to monitor your activity on the Site, in order to make improvements to the services offered.

BeeKeepPal reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and/or cancel subscriptions in its discretion, including, without limitation, if we believe that customer conduct violates applicable laws or is harmful to our interests.

BeeKeepPal reserves the right to conduct customer surveys to gather feedback on its products and services. Customers may receive an invitation via email to review their order and the quality of the service received.

BeeKeepPal reserves the right to change any of its policies, and any time without prior notice.

You shall not upload, distribute, or otherwise publish through this Site any content, information, or other material that:

  1. Includes any bugs, viruses, worms, trap doors, Trojan horses, or other harmful code or properties;
  2. Is libelous, threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, pornographic, discriminatory, or could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under the laws of the U.S. or the laws of any other country that may apply;
  3. Violates or infringes upon the copyrights, patents, trademarks, service marks, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights of any person.

You may not reproduce, distribute, display, sell, lease, transmit, create derivative works from, translate, modify, reverse-engineer, disassemble, decompile, or otherwise exploit this Site or any portion of it unless expressly permitted by our company in writing.

You will be solely responsible for all access to and use of this site by anyone using the password and identification originally assigned to you whether or not such access to and use of this site is actually authorized by you, including without limitation, all communications and transmissions and all obligations (including without limitation financial obligations) incurred through such access or use. You are solely responsible for protecting the security and confidentiality of the password and identification assigned to you. You shall immediately notify BeeKeepPal of any unauthorized use of your password or identification or any other breach or threatened breach of this Site’s security.

Subscriptions

  1. Plans. BeeKeepPal is free to use on the Hobbyist plan. The paid plans, BeeKeepPal Pro and BeeKeepPal Pro Team, add features and higher limits, and are billed monthly or yearly: Pro Monthly is US$5.99 a month, Pro Annual US$58 a year, Pro Team Monthly US$9.99 a month and Pro Team Annual US$96 a year. Prices may be shown and charged in your local currency and may include or exclude taxes depending on where you live. The price you pay is the one shown when you subscribe.
  2. Where you can subscribe. You can subscribe in the BeeKeepPal dashboard or from the pricing page on our website, with payment handled by Stripe (see Payment Methods); in our iPhone and iPad app through Apple’s App Store; or in our Android app through Google Play. A subscription bought through the App Store is charged to your Apple ID, and one bought through Google Play to your Google account. Your plan applies to your BeeKeepPal account wherever you sign in, whichever way you subscribed.
  3. Subscribing from our pricing page. If you subscribe from the pricing page without signing in, we create a BeeKeepPal account for you with the email address you enter at checkout once your payment goes through, and email you a temporary password, which you should change after signing in. If an account already exists with that email address, the subscription is added to that account instead.
  4. One subscription per account. Each BeeKeepPal account has one subscription. If you already have a paid plan, you change or cancel it where you bought it rather than buying a second one. If you subscribe from our pricing page with the email address of an account that already has a subscription, the new subscription replaces it and your plan becomes the new one. A replaced subscription bought in the dashboard or on the pricing page, or through Google Play, is cancelled straight away and the unused part of its last payment is refunded automatically. An App Store subscription, or a website subscription bought before October 20, 2026, cannot be cancelled by us: you need to cancel it yourself, or Apple or the website will keep charging it. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  5. Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. For App Store and Google Play subscriptions, Apple or Google charges your account within 24 hours before the end of the current period. If we change the price of a plan, you will be told in advance and can cancel before the new price applies.
  6. Changing and cancelling. You manage a subscription where you bought it. A subscription bought in the dashboard or on the pricing page is managed in the BeeKeepPal dashboard: open your Profile and use Change Plan, Billing & Invoices or Cancel. A website subscription bought before October 20, 2026 is managed in the Customer Portal on our website. An App Store subscription is managed in your device’s Settings under your name and then Subscriptions, and a Google Play subscription in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions; both can also be opened from Manage My Subscription in the BeeKeepPal app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and your account then returns to the Hobbyist plan. Cancelling one kind of subscription does not cancel another. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  7. Failed payments. If a renewal payment for a subscription paid through Stripe or on our website fails, the subscription ends straight away and your account returns to the Hobbyist plan. If a renewal through the App Store or Google Play fails, Apple or Google may keep the subscription active for a short grace period while they retry the payment, and BeeKeepPal keeps your paid plan during it. If the payment still fails, your account returns to the Hobbyist plan.
  8. Refunds. Refunds for subscriptions bought in the dashboard, on the pricing page or on our website follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Apple and Google handle payments and refund requests for subscriptions bought through the App Store and Google Play, under their own terms; the only refunds we make for those are the automatic refunds of a replaced Google Play subscription described above.
  9. Pro Team plans. A Pro Team subscription gives its plan to the members of the subscriber’s company in BeeKeepPal. If the subscription ends, including because the subscriber cancels it or deletes their account, the company’s members return to the Hobbyist plan unless another member has their own Pro Team subscription. If a company’s only Apiary Manager deletes their account, the longest-serving member who has accepted their invitation becomes its Apiary Manager.
  10. Deleting your account. Deleting your BeeKeepPal account cancels a subscription bought in the dashboard or on the pricing page straight away, without a refund for the rest of the period. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, or a website subscription bought before October 20, 2026: Apple, Google or the website keep billing until you cancel it, so cancel it before deleting your account.

Apps from the App Store and Google Play

If you use a BeeKeepPal app downloaded from the App Store or Google Play:

  1. Parties. This agreement is between you and BeeKeepPal only, not Apple or Google. BeeKeepPal, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Maintenance and support. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
  3. Warranty. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are BeeKeepPal’s responsibility.
  4. Product claims. BeeKeepPal, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  5. Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, BeeKeepPal, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  6. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  7. Third-party terms. You must comply with the applicable terms of the App Store or Google Play, such as Apple’s Usage Rules, when using the app.
  8. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and once you accept it, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  9. Questions and claims. Questions, complaints or claims about the app can be sent through our Contact form.

AI-Powered Features

  1. What AI Features are. BeeKeepPal offers optional features powered by artificial intelligence (“AI Features”), provided through third-party AI services from Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI. Some AI Features may be limited to certain subscription plans or subject to usage limits, which we may change at any time.
  2. AI output is guidance, not professional advice. AI output (“Output”), including disease or pest identifications, treatment suggestions and recommendations, is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Output is not veterinary, agricultural, legal or other professional advice. You are responsible for checking Output before acting on it. Before applying any treatment, confirm the diagnosis where possible, follow the product label, and follow the laws of your country or region. Some bee diseases, such as American Foulbrood, may have to be reported to your local apiary inspector or agriculture authority.
  3. Your content. You keep ownership of the photos, text and data you submit (“Input”). You give BeeKeepPal permission to process your Input, and to share it with our AI providers, solely to provide AI Features to you. Our AI providers do not use your Input or Output to train their models. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled and protected.
  4. Your use of Output. Subject to these terms, you may use Output for your own beekeeping purposes. Similar Output may be given to other users.
  5. Acceptable use. When using AI Features, you must not:
    • Submit content you do not have the right to use, or personal information about other people without their permission.
    • Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive or unrelated to beekeeping in a way meant to misuse the Service.
    • Try to bypass usage limits or safety measures, extract our prompts or system instructions, or reverse-engineer the AI Features.
    • Use AI Features to build a competing product or to generate content in violation of the usage policies of Google, Anthropic or OpenAI.

We may suspend access to AI Features, or your account, if you breach these rules.

  1. Availability and changes. AI Features depend on third-party providers and may be unavailable, slow or changed at any time. We may add, change or remove AI Features or AI providers without notice.
  2. No warranty; limitation of liability. AI Features and Output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeeKeepPal is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on Output, including loss of colonies, honey production or income.
